Marriage is a sacred contract between husband & wife and should be considered very carefully. It has prerequisites that often are not considered by Muslims. Hence at the Sharia Council we seek to restore the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and engage in prenuptial meetings to reach a concensus in this contract of justness and expectations before conducting the Nikah.
This will ensure that the contract is not entered into under false pretences and with misinformation which often leads to marriage breakups. For this service we charge a small admin fee of £80.00 to cover the cost of administration, paper work & travel costs of the scholars or members of the community who will conduct the meeting with you.
Simply drop us an email on enquiries@theshariacouncil.org.uk today and we will respond with some proposed dates and times for the meeting when it is convenient for you. We always recommend that sisters bring a wali (guardian) to accompany them.
