Why do we need The Sharia Council
The Islamic Sharia Council is the best form of advice resource available today to the ever increasing population within the United Kingdom and Europe, with more and more people accepting Islam than ever before, and with the extreme rise of Islamophobia, it is imperative that Islam is represented corrected and adequately, Muslims are not pacifists nor where they ever, our refute and rebuttal has to appropriate and with the intention to win over the hearts and minds of the haters, this can only be achieved through dialogue, love and mercy..

Are Sharia Councils recognised under UK law?
The word ‘Council’ sometimes may be misunderstood, because we the British Public do not know the correct definition of this word and almost always connect it to local authority or government run initiatives, this is the actual definition of this word in order to bring some clarity to the situation. The word Council is a noun which means "an advisory, deliberative, or administrative body of people formally constituted and meeting regularly". We have no ties to the government what so ever and this definition is from the English dictionary.
Sharia councils are not recognised under UK law and have no legal jurisdiction whatsoever and never claim to do so.
Sharia Councils are simply organisations or charities providing services to Muslim communities, but they are not courts of law. They are mainly run by volunteers who make up the community belonging to the local Mosque(s), including the local Imams, Scholars and or Mufti(s).
These councils only make decisions or offer advice on religious matters and cannot and do not issue any legally binding decisions.
In some cases, you may find qualified solicitors volunteering at a The Sharia Council; however as volunteers they cannot offer any legal advice and will only assist with Islamic matters only. However they may wish to sign post you to a Solicitor.
